It has been so nice to have some sunshine and to be able to get out and play with shadows. On Wednesday Mrs Graham had to stand really still as the children drew around her shadow. We looked at how her shadow changed at different times of the day. In the morning it was long and stretched out towards the classroom. Later in the day her shadow was shorter, and stretched in a different direction. When we looked in the sky it appeared as if the sun had moved. Could this be is what made the shadow change place? We need to do some more investigation. Let's hope we have lots more sunny days!

We have been having lots of fun exploring the new maths boxes Mrs graham made up. These boxes have activities that let us explore number sense in different ways. We are leaning to count in different ways, to make groups and to know patterns in numbers.

We are learning to count in many different ways. This week we have been skip counting in twos, fives and tens. We even try to skip count backwards. Some of us are working on numbers up to 20, and others can skip count all the way to 100! Today our Room 7 buddies came to help us with our counting. We found lots of fun ways to count.
